Typical weather in the
Vendee, close to Le Poyenval

The weather in the Vendee is mild and equable throughout the year. The  area boasts a microclimate seeing almost as many hours sunshine per year (at around 2,500 hours) as the South of France.

Spring tends to arrive slightly late (around mid-April) then moves very quickly into Summer, which lasts right up to the end of September or mid-October.

A long Autumn is followed by a short Winter.

We are fortunate to live in a wonderful climate.
Typical Vendee weather is warm (but not excessively hot) in the summer and mild in the winter.
