France is one of the most
popular destinations for holidays and short breaks - and we are
lucky enough to live in a small village in the Vendée, one
of the most beautiful areas of the country. Whether you are
looking for relaxation in our lovely countryside, a base for
walking, sightseeing, or a more active break this is a great
place to stay.
- Self catering holiday accommodation in one of our
self-contained Gites located within the grounds of the house,

- Chambres d’hôtes (B&B) within the house itself, on either a Bed-and-Breakfast or Half Board basis.
Chambres d'hôtes (bed and breakfast) facilities and self catering gîtes here at Le Poyenval provide a comfortable base from which to tour the wonderful Vendée and the rest of the magnificent Western Loire region.
Whichever type of accommodation you choose, our large gardens are an ideal place to take a stroll, or relax in peace-and-quiet. In the summer months, visitors can relax by the swimming pool in the garden, enjoy a game on the Piste de Boules, or a pique-nique in the grounds. There are numerous walks through the countryside nearby, on quiet lanes and paths with views over the Vendee countryside.

The Vendée and nearby attractions
The Vendée and other parts of the Western Loire have something to offer visitors whatever their holiday interests. The Vendee weather is wonderful, and photographers and artists can enjoy the countryside with its varied and stunning scenery.The area is ideal for walking, cycling, golf, fishing or horse riding. The picturesque sea shore of the French Atlantic coastline, with its excellent beaches, is within easy reach by car and there is boating on the inland waterways of the Marais Poitevin.
Family attractions within reach include the magnificent theme
parks of Puy du Fou and Futuroscope - both offering a wonderful
day out for young and old alike.
